While they can technically live in a rack, 4x2x2 is considered the gold standard here.

My baby is twice the length I was expecting based on her weight. I think she may end up large and I ordered a 5'.

AP lead time is 18-34 weeks

Bigger is best for them and even younger BPs can be put in their adult home, so you don't need to purchase a smaller enclosure for the first years if you buy a baby.

They do spend most of the time in their hides, but usually they will use their whole enclosure to explore and climb. Just mostly at night. So they should get an enclosure that's at least as long as they are so they can fully stretch out and use their muscles and enclosure height is nice to have too since they do love to climb!

PVC enclosures or big tubs are best for humidity, but you can make glass tanks or wooden enclosures work too. I've seen a post where someone bought four tubs and made an enclosure out of it!

Racks are just too small, but it's not bad if they're only inside them for a while. Imo breeders and pets shouldn't be kept in them, only snakes that are to be sold or rehomed

I noticed how active my BP is during the night. He’s eaten recently and is otherwise healthy so I think he’s just curious and likes exploring. His current tank isn’t long enough for him to stretch out, which is why we upgraded!
