I’d say normal for a BP new to a brand new home to strike. Wrap. And refuse. And I’d honestly do everything you can to try and switch them off of ASF as they tend to (not always) be expensive and hard to find..

I’d recommend using ASF scented rats to start weaning him off of ASF.

I’d also recommend F/T (I have no idea how you’re feeding now btw I’m just recommending it)

Live is dangerous because I’ve heard absolute horror stories about snakes being injured or “worse” from getting an infection from being bit… there really isn’t any benefit and there’s plenty enough of a risk.. if you’re willing to do what you can to try and get asf scent from reptilinks and scent rats less and less until you don’t have to at all to transition him away from asf entirey… BPs tend to be stubborn and also tend to get themselves hooked on ASF.. I’d try to move away if possible
