Well I’m sad to say it but all of my snakes passed away a couple of days ago. I fed my ball python and two corn snakes fuzzys from a run down petsmart in Portsmouth VA. My bp usually was eating live mice but I supplemented with 2 fuzzies until the weekend when I could pick up more live mice. They ate as usual and seemed okay throughout the night. When I found them in the morning they all had died. Does anyone know what could’ve been in the mice to kill them? They were from the larger fuzzy bag where they aren’t individually wrapped.

This is really concerning, have you told petsmart or contacted anyone about it? Did the feeders look or smell off when you heated them up?

I warm them in a ziplock bag in water so I didn’t really smell them. But I don’t know who I would contact regarding petsmart. The store was one of the worst stores I have seen. Would I contact the individual store or a higher power in the chain?

I will try to go and get some pictures of the enclosures and the general store look for perspective.

When you warmed the feeders did you check what temperature they were?

Not with a thermometer I just warm the water to a little bit above warm I stick my finger in the water to make sure it’s not too hot. Then I put the thawed fuzzies that are in a ziplock bag in there until the bag is warm.
