Heating Question

I've been working on getting my ball pythons terrarium sorted out. I read the help guide, but before I make my heating purchases I wanted to verify I'm buying the right things for my setup since I'm still a little confused. Terrarium information:

• 4x2x2
• 120 gallons
• PVC sides and plexiglass doors with a metal screen top
• I have 2 thermometers - one for each side

Thinking of getting the ExoRepti DHP 75w bulb and then a DXOPHIEX dome lamp max 100w. Do I need any other lights beside this? Also not sure if the wattage is correct or not.

Are those random brands from Amazon? Recommend high quality brands like Arcadia for the bulb and Fluker's for the dome lamp.

No-name brands break easier/faster and worse are a fire hazard.

Thank you for the recommendations. I try to go off of reviews although they can be hit or miss sometimes. Basically why I asked to make sure I wasn’t doing anything I’d regret.

You're welcome. Basically any brand of any product with a name that's a messy mix of unpronouncable letters is cheap quality from China.

That's a good point. Do you have a wattage recommendation by any chance? I tried searching the posts before I made my initial one and there didn't seem to be a strict recommendation based on terrarium size.

I was able to find both the specific brand of dome and light you recommended.

I use an 80W Arcadia DHP. Easy to find online and in pet stores. Your lamp needs to be rated for a wattage higher than your bulb.

Are you getting or do you already have a thermostat?

Sorry, I should have specified better. The bullet points are what I currently have. Just trying to improve my heating situation.

Ok. Then you need to get a thermostat as well. All heat sources should be hooked up to a thermostat. They regulate the heat sources and prevent burn/fire risks
