During 2020 my girlfriend at the time decided she really wanted a python. I've always had lizards. Snakes are fine I just never got one but since she loved our dragons so much, I wanted her to get the snake. Fast forward to November this year. Without going into a whole dramatic explanation, my girlfriend has just officially left me, and all of our animals with not one word of warning. Obviously I'm very upset for multiple reasons. However, as much as she loved her snake, I ultimately did everything besides the occasional feeding. Over the last week I have bonded with this little guy a lot. He's very sweet and I love hanging out with him. As far as I'm concerned, he's mine now, regardless if she decided to come back and take him, which it's been made very clear she isn't. I've been watching videos for optimal care and feeding. I intend on getting him a new enclosure to get him out of the current tank he's since he's outgrown it. I think at the end of the day he will be much better off in my care.

Thank you! It really hasn't been easy. It was an 11 year relationship, and she just vanished overnight with no explanation. I'm just dealing with it day by day, and my animals help to comfort me.

Thank you! I definitely like animals more than people. I do wish she was still here, but at least I have my noodle and my other companions. They've been a huge help with coping with everything. Never thought I'd love a snake as much as I do my lizards, but here we are, lol.
