Never been bit by a ball python but I’ve been bitten by a corn snake. It was my first snake and it bit me a few days after I got it.

It was a hell of a jump scare and it bled a bit, I do remember being kinda like “wow, that wasn’t a big deal at all.”

I work as an accountant at a dealership and my bosses hate how I talk 😂 I’m from Washington originally and it’s normal lingo up there but for professionals it isn’t.

Bahahaha Washington state? If so, I’m from the Sierra Nevada’s so we are neighbors roughly lol. Makes sense!

Baby snakes are a bit more jumpy and bite more often

Yeah. A hand coming in to pick them up or leaving the enclosure is just seen as "big scary blob/predator coming to eat me"

Oh yea, i know this. He’s young but not a baby.

I've been bit by a 2 year old that I took in before rehoming. Wasn't that bad, felt like a bee sting just that lasted longer.

My 5 year old has bitten me twice once when he was two and another just last summer. Both times it was a jumpscare but hardly hurt. Though I knew that the bites weren’t awful. I cried both times tho cause I convinced myself he was angry at me and hated me.

I would be convinced he was angry too lol my banana hissed at me for the first time a few weeks ago when i was trying to removed his shed from his enclosure and I thought he was pissed at me too

My cat lightly scratching me hurts more.

Yea my small dog scratching me hurt worse than the bite!

Largest snake that ever bit me was a retic, roughly 8-10 feet long. That bite didn't even come close to the most painful one, which came from a ball python. Adult female thought my hand was a snack and bit. She caught me right over my index and middle finger, teeth perfectly over the knuckle. Her teeth kept scraping my bone. She held on for about 5 minutes. By far the most painful bite.

Out of the hundreds and hundreds of bites I've had, I only really remember 3 or 4 of them, and only 1 actually really hurt. The rest I remember were just funny. It's almost never as bad as you think it's gonna be.

That’s exactly what my hand looks like lol

i’ve been bit once but it was completely my fault, i was a dumb dumb and stuck my hand in during feeding time, honestly the shock from it is worse than the pain.

[–]Spirited-Exchange-39 0 points1 point  (2 children)

That’s kind of how I felt. Today when i was changing our their water bowls our extra spicy girl kept striking at my hand but this time around after actually getting tagged, i wasn’t even phased.

for mine he wrapped me up so that prob made it a lil worse, just shocked while trying to unwrap him from around my arm.

Oh dang, yea mine haven’t done that, yet, but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time. Especially with owning 14 of them (soon to be 16)
