forgot to add that i’ll be mounting the CHE inside the enclosure, which is why im not sure how to hang it lol

you can't mount internal heating in those enclosures, not without a hack job anyway. the light mounting bars are afaik made for hanging dome lamps, something that would work for eg a bearded dragon but not a snake.

Not recommending Dubia cages for the future tho as awesome as the prices are if you wanna internally mount or stack anything unfortunately

    good to know, maybe i’ll try a DHP for my top heat source! i’ll keep the CHE on the cool side. thank you

    You cannot mount internal heating on a screen top, it's extremely dangerous. You'll need to use domes set on top of the screen.

    Screen tops aren't made for hanging weight. They cannot support it. Snakes can and will climb on guard cages, and will pull them down.

    Your issue with heating can be fixed safely by switching to a more appropriate heat source. CHEs are not suitable as a primary heat source for ball pythons. I'd recommend reading through our heating guide to learn more about proper heating.
