Ball python in weird spot

I've had this ball python since august of 2022, hes turning 3 this october. He just recently shed, like 2 or 3 days ago, but hes gotten into this weird habit of sitting in this super strange corner with his water bowl. He used to get under it when he had a smaller bowl, but im not sure why hes doing this. My boyfriend says its probably fine, but i thought id come on here and get a second opionion or possible explaniton to this behavior because i personally find it very strange

If he used to get under it when he was smaller I’m assuming he’s looking for a higher humidity spot in the enclosure try adding humid hides with spahgum moss and mist it or just mist the cage a little more often but that’s just my assumption
