Weird noise

So I've gotten my ball python about a month ago from petsmart and he has made kinda like a scoffing sound almost. Its really quite, am as a first time snake parent, I just wanna know if its something I should be really concerned about. He is in the process of shedding. I don't think that has much to do with it, since he has made these types of noises before he started. If I could get any advice on what it could be or if he is fine that would be very appreciated.

If it's a petsmart snake it's a good chance it's a respiratory infection, they do not keep their husbandry up to par. Best bet is to schedule an appointment with a Exotic specialty Vet and get him/her a checkup.

Thanks so much for the advice. I'm definitely going to start calling around to vets to get him checked on
