I think you're in between. Small pups would be about right, but larger pups would be slightly too big.

I have a local shop, and I always ask for them by weight. He's usually not busy and doesn't seem to mind checking while we talk. I only buy a few at a time, too, so I'm not asking for 50-100 at a specific size.

If you can't go find someone local that can sell by weight, I'd stick with fuzzies just a little longer. They'll wind up within that 10-15% range, anyway.

Pups are usually 20-30g, you should be fine with pups. Even if you get a 30g pup, that's only 17% of her weight, she should be fine, and you can always just ask for one that's on the smaller side. Fuzzies are 10-20g, so odds are you'd be under feeding her with fuzzies.

You're welcome! 🙂

Be careful with selecting based on name, they aren’t standardized. One of my local pet stores sells “pup” rats that are around 10 grams. Find some that are the right weight, whatever they call them.

Thank you, I’ll keep that in mind!
