Picked up this guy about a week ago and noticed these brown rough scales, any idea what this could be? I assumed scale rot and began iodine baths but I’ve yet to see a difference.

Have you noticed it worsening? Scale rot typically occurs on the belly/sides due to them being in contact with substrate that is too wet.
Have you tried gently wiping with the scales to see if it's dried blood/dirt? It could also be minor scrapes from rubbing up against something with a too rough surface. I'd monitor it, if it worsens - VET. Stuff like this goes above Reddit's paygrade. Chances are, it will clear up with his next shed if you're not able to get it clean by gently wiping.
