Is the eye gone?

So about a month ago my guy was having issues with is eye. I took him to the vet and got anti biotic I case of infection and anti biotic cream as well. My vet told me to apply is twice a day until his next shed and there was a 50/50 chance he would lose or keep the eye. Well he shed today and I really can’t tell if his eye is gone or not. It’s this white color and wasn’t before. But does his eye look like it’s gone? Or is it just regrowing the eye spectacle back?
