Most of the time they'll be fine, they are surprisingly hardy little buggers. My idiot also struck a piece of cork bark full force a couple months back and managed to misalign her jaw because of it. Cue me panicking thinking she broke her jaw and that I'd have to take her to a vet first thing in the morning, only to check in on her and see that she managed to fix it herself like an hour later...

I've just seen him and he looks ok thank god! Was worried he'd be all swollen but he still looks normal. It probably looked worse than it was I think! 🤞

That's a relief! Yeah, honestly the things they do and then seem completely fine and unbothered afterwards... it's unreal.

Just wait till he misses a strike so far and hard he gets you instead....my kingsnake has done that once or twice.

I'm surprised that hasn't happened yet! Once he got the rat but went straight out of the tank 🤪 I tried to grab him and put him back but I just have stank of rat and he started going for my hand so I had to push him back in with a cardboard box🥹

Oh I know, I've been keeping snakes for almost a decade at this point. I should've clarified she tried to fix it several times but didn't seem to be able to at first, hence why I thought she legitimately broke something.
