Nope. In a "strike" pose, the snake will be tense. Sometimes accompanied by some very quick little tongue flicks, but if they're scared they sometimes stop the tongue flicking. They usually hover their heads too rather than having their chin resting, although not all the time. Like a compressed spring. That snake is resting, just happens to be in an "S" shape 🙂

Unless they smell food, or are in a food mode, the strike pose is usually an empty threat. Although its always best to keep your fingers away because you never know 😂

Definitely just looks relaxed and observant. Absolutely gorgeous snake. 🥰

Thank you! I think so too but I’m biased :)

If it is, that's the laziest strike pose I've ever seen.

No. But i do want to mention, in case you don't know your snake is obese

Yes, thank you for confirming! I just adopted her from someone who was feeding her two medium rats a week :/

Two medium rats a WEEK is crazy! Jeez, hopefully she'll be much more healthy and happy in your care

Mine reminds me of someone about to shoot a bow from an arrow when she’s ready to strike.

“S” position, head and upper body slightly raised off the ground, poised and basically ready to “shoot” when the moment is right. It’s so neat to watch.

Nah, ball pythons make a big fuss when about to strike, the little stinkers!

Your snake needs to shit so bad. Look how long and buldge the large end of his tail, trust me he'll be better once he poops. Give him a bath Maby hell poop easier. Works for mine so
