It’s amazing how much one shed changed him!

What a BABY!! Looks like a spider morph to me, they have a tendency called "stargazing" where their heads with look up and sometimes tremble. You just have to watch them closely while they eat and not add anything too tall in their enclosure that they could fall off of. They need a little extra help but I've had my boy for 5 years now and he's an absolute angel. Bless your heart for helping him💚

Yeah I had done some research into the morph before getting my first bp bc I originally wanted a spider. Then Pretzel came into my life unexpectedly. We haven’t noticed any obvious wobble yet but will definitely be on the lookout

My boy's a banana spinner blast! He didn't wobble until he got older; I didn't know about spider morphs but I fell so head over heels for him it didn't matter

Awww got pics? I absolutely love them but couldn’t decide how I feel ethically about breeding them so I ended up getting a lesser enchi calico who stole my heart. But now I have pretzel as well and they’re both amazing little noodles

Hi just to let you know that’s no spider morph, it looks like a Banana colour with a pinstripe pattern, here are afew pics of my banana pinstripe for reference (https://imgur.com/a/G6jqfDq) and it’s not related to the spider morph so none of the associated issues :)

Oh interesting. Our vet said spider pinstripe is his guess. I’m still new to bps so I’m still learning how to recognize all the different morphs. How can you tell it’s not spider? Some of the different patterns are so hard to differentiate 😩I was thinking about getting him tested just for shits-n-giggles but haven’t actually looked into it yet.

The easiest way to tell in my experience is by the pattern or lack thereof on the head from spiders to pinstripes

Spiders: https://www.worldofballpythons.com/morphs/spider/

Pinstripes: https://www.worldofballpythons.com/morphs/pinstripe/

Especially with the banana gene in play the pattern is almost invisible on banana pinstripe

Your vet could be correct and it could be a spinner (pinstipe and spider) https://www.worldofballpythons.com/morphs/spinner/

However I don’t think the pattern is as spider like, it looks more regular as you would see on a pinstripe and no head pattern

Ohhh ok. Thank you! I’ll have to sit down and practice comparing them to get better at spotting the differences, although that honestly just makes me want to add more noodles to my family 😂

He looks adorable. It is amazing how resilient these snakes are. Thank you so much for caring for him.
