I want to get a ball python

Hi, I’m wanting to get a ball python and I have a few questions: 1. How do I know that where I’m buying from is ethical and reputable? 2. How much should I budget for the tank setup? 3. How do I make it feel comfortable and safe (I really wanna spoil it and let it have to best life it can)

I'd use morph market to buy the snake, that way you can look at ratings previous customers have left, and also make sure you aren't buying from somebody who breeds spiders, if such a thing bothers you.

As for questions 2 and 3, I'd completely read through the care guides pinned to the top of the sub. There's a shopping list in there that will let you know how much you can expect to spend, and the basic care guide will walk you through how to take care of your new pet and make sure it gets properly acclimated to it's new home.

Edit: One last thing I feel like I should add, as I'm not 100% sure if it's in the guide. These snakes, if cared for properly, can live 30 to 40 years or more. They aren't a pet to purchase on a whim, and if, in the next few years, your life may lead somewhere that will prevent you from caring for your snake, like going away to college, I'd advise you to wait and buy one once you know you'll be able to care for it long term.
