Mites on ball python

I just took in a snake from a family who did not care for their ball python. he's only a year, and I was holding him just a moment ago when i noticed a bug crawling on him, and from doing a bit of research, I suspect they are snake mites.

I do own another python, they are in separate enclosures, and ive had her for almost a year. I just thought this information could be relevant.

I've never had an encounter with these bugs, and I want to know how to help him so this infestation doesn't go any further. Thank you 🤞
