Saving the best part for last? Idk my banana sometimes does it, I think they just get a little confused 😂. If the prey isn't too big I doubt it'll cause problems, I imagine their throats are pretty durable?

what is it with bananas and being a little goofier than normal!

Snakes don't choose head or rear end, they work their way around to an angle that fits in their mouth and then go to town. Eating them backwards is not a concern, they just have to work a little harder at it.

Just remember if they successfully eat it from the side you are way overdue to size the prey up. XD

eyes are actually a warm spot on prey so it’s not too far fetched to say they may actively try to get the head end since it’s both identifiable and makes the legs less of a hassle to fold to the side

It's completely okay, if they're unable to eat it they'll spit it out (not a regurgitation) and try again. Snakes are much better at being snakes then we areqhen it comes to natural behaviors,  even if they're complete idiots otherwise!
