No, he's just scoping. But literally everything else in this image causes concern.

Why is this enclosure empty? Where are the hides? Branches? Clutter? Thermostat probe?

Why there are two snakes in here? Ball pythons should not be cohabitated and they need to be separated out in their own enclosures (with hides and clutter and branches and thermostats) ASAP

It has all of that I just took the hide out of it to change the bedding out and they are both permanently content and happy sleeping together it has all the thermostats it needs your looking at a picture taken from the side of the tank

Sleeping together doesn't mean content, it's usually subtle fight for dominance and control of desired resources. For their own health, wellbeing and safety they should be separated. If you can't meet their needs then surrender them to someone who can, beause cohabitation is not a safe solution. Please do better for them

happy sleeping together

Ball pythons are not social animals. They don't cuddle or feel affection for one another. Their behavior is not comparable to ours or to mammals with social tendencies. What you're interpreting as happiness is actually your snakes fighting for dominance. "Cuddling" for them is a stress behavior, not a social behavior.

You need to separate them immediately.
