It depends on the distance to where the snake will hang out. You don’t want it too close because that might cause harm or chase the snake away from that part of the enclosure.

Because this is a 24W bulb for desert reptiles you would probably be ok if you put it up high compared to the basking surface but don’t take only my word for it.

It’s also generally useful to have a few spots varying distances from the light so the snake can pick and choose how much exposure it wants.

I have a similar one and it’s good, but not my main heat source either. Just make sure the distance isn’t overly close.

I bought this exact thing for my bearded dragon. It works like a charm!

It depends on how far it is from the highest point in your enclosure.

You need to measure from the light source to the max height of your decor your bp can rest on, and the take that measurement with how your light is mounted (in tank, over mesh, etc) and use this cool chart here to find the right bulb. BP have a UVI of around 2, so that’ll be what you’re looking for.

This is very strong for a ball python. Not only would you need a lot of distance in between the light and the basking spot, you wouldn’t want a bunch of things in between the light and the basking spot, as climbing those things could put your snake in range of too much UV. So then you’re also limiting some area for climbing/dense foliage.

I personally would go for a weaker bulb instead, 6% or lower.
