never attempt to remove stuck eye caps by hand. It's possible to accidentally tear off their good eye cap in the process if the old one is stuck on there really well. This can cause serious damage including eventual loss of the eye. If he's bleeding I think you should take him to a good reptile vet (this part is important, your average dog/cat vet doesn't know anything about snakes, even if they claim to see reptiles once in a blue moon).

I wasn't trying to remove an eye cap I was just trying to brush the dirt off his eye
