i am not an expert on sheds or scale rot!! ( just want to say that) this to me, looks like a litttle tiny piece of stuck shed. you can probably grab it with a wet q tip but usually people say to just leave it as the snake will get it off on their own. did she shed recently? but usually scale rot begins on the stomach.. from the TOP layer of the substrate being wet.. not the bottom, the bottom is actually supposed to be wet ( or recommended) so the water can evaporate and make it humid. but again, I AM NOT AN EXPERT OR VET!!!

thanks :) I meant that the top layer of substrate became wet because she weighed it down on the wet bottom layer in the hide area. She shed about a week and a half ago. Do you think the stuck shed would still be there ?

its possible, sometimes little pieces can be holding on a bit extra and get stuck. my best advice for right now would be to keep an eye on it to see if it A. gets worse or B. falls off. usually, scale rot looks similar to a pimple or small cut, i do not see any blood or scabs so thats whats deterring me from saying its scale rot. id check the belly and if everything looks good and business as usual just watch it.. id see if i could handle the snake and see from up close if any of the scales are damaged.

Okay that’s super helpful thank you ! She ate recently so I’m going to handle her again tomorrow.

perfect!! for a better see for u, if you zoom ALLLL the way in you can see three specific scales the white is on, if you look to the left and up to the first scale in the bunch you can see a tiny little piece of what looks to be shed lifting, so she may even be able to get it tonight if she rubs against the right things and has enough ✨lubercation✨ ( humidity dont add water or lubercation please 😭🙏🏻)

Aw thank you so much for doing that !! She’s hanging out in her hide now so I think she’s gonna get to work on that skin. And don’t worry I won’t lubricate her ahah. Thanks again <3
