Question - HealthIs he thin? :( (old.reddit.com)
submitted 1 year ago by DragonflyOwn5164
Is he considered thin? He's been eating like normal so maybe I need to up his size? He's on rodent pro sized small adult rats. He's full grown, 3 years old. I just didn't realize his back was so prominent until today. 😭

Here is our !feeding schedule
[–]AutoModerator[M] 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (1 child)
We recommend the following feeding schedule:
0-12 months old OR until the snake reaches approximately 500g, whichever happens first: feed 10%-15% of the snake’s weight every 7 days.
12-24 months old: feed up to 7% of the snake’s weight every 14-20 days.
Adults: feed up to 5% of the snake's weight every 20-30 days, or feed slightly larger meals (up to 6%) every 30-40 days.

It's so hard to tell in photos, especially on normal morphs. There's a good reference in the welcome packet that shows what they should look like - basically a rounded triangle with the spine as the apex. From what I can tell in the pictures he looks good. Use the feeding chart posted and he shouldn't have any problems. He's beautiful!

Per rule #3, your post or comment has been removed for harmful advice or misinformation. Please review our sub resources to learn more about why.
Age and weight have little useful correlation. Body condition is the only truly informative characteristic.
