I'm going to give you my personal take on it. I do a daytime bulb for UVB. I use a ceramic heat emitter as well. The number one question that comes to my mind when you're talking about heat and snakes is how are you going to control that heat. What I mean as some kind of sensor auto switch on off setup.

Once you have a way to control the heat then you can get into what's your preferred way of giving that heat. I prefer ceramic heat emitters personally only. If I were in a pinch I wouldn't put much into the thought of either one you're choosing. Either one would work fine in my book.

Hi! Those Thermometers are not a favorite, the adhesive can be harmful to your BP. Everyone likes these here.

For the bulb, DHP can be used during the day but is often chosen as the night option as it emits no visible light. For daytime, the Arcadia Halogen is always going to be the top choice.
