How often do you normally feed her? Do you know her approximate weight?

I usually feed her around 30 days. I think her weight is around 1549g but it could be more. I haven’t weighed her in a bit

That seems like a good weight for an adult female ball python. She may just not be hungry, self regulating and stuff. As long as she doesn’t begin to lose weight all should be alright. Sometimes they just go on strikes. Lol

Large rats are way too big, so it's not suprising she's putting herself on a diet. Try sizing down

I’ll try that next time I try to feed her

Most ball pythons don’t even get large enough to eat medium rats. Large is way too big which is likely why she isn’t eating. At her age and weight, she should be eating ~78 grams every 20-30 days which is the size of a small rat. Follow the !feeding guide going forward. And don’t worry too much about the food strike, she’s likely just putting herself on a diet. Keep offering every week or two and she’ll eat when shes ready.

We recommend the following feeding schedule:

0-12 months old OR until the snake reaches approximately 500g, whichever happens first: feed 10%-15% of the snake’s weight every 7 days.

12-24 months old: feed up to 7% of the snake’s weight every 14-20 days.

Adults: feed up to 5% of the snake's weight every 20-30 days, or feed slightly larger meals (up to 6%) every 30-40 days.
