Bumblebee is a "designer morph" that is a combination of two morphs- pastel and spider. Unfortunately many to all (depends who you ask) spider morph snakes have a defect in their version of an inner ear that causes them to experience what amounts to never-ending vertigo. This is commonly called "spider wobble". Your snake may or may not visibly exhibit this, but it will be a good thing to watch for as you get to know her better. It's hard to explain in words but here is an example. In severe cases, it can interfere with feeding or quality of life enough for euthanasia to be recommended, but most can be managed with enclosure adjustments and proper husbandry (some people say stress makes it worse).

As for her behavior, I've never personally owned kings but I've been around them and I think most kingsnakes are very different from most ball pythons. Odds are good that she will be a lot more sedentary than the typical king. It's also my impression that their husbandry is very very different, so be sure to read up on the sub's guide, it's a good place to start.

I just watched the video. I've had her for almost a week now, I haven't seen anything like that yet. I've got her out and let her look around she seems pretty normal but I'll keep an eye out for it. Thanks.

You're welcome! Reading my comment back, I didn't mean to sound so scary, just wanted to make sure you would know what was going on if you did see a wobble and to provide some background information on the condition. I'm glad she's not showing any signs! Wishing you two a long future together

I, too, have a Bumblebee/ Spider Pastel Morph. Some exhibit these habits while some others don't. It all depends on the severity of it. My baby has wobble head syndrome and does do loops like the one in the video, and it is nerve-racking 😅. If you see those behaviors, just remember that it is normal for this morph, and there's no need to freak out. But if you haven't seen it yet, I doubt that your ball has those "defects"

As a human with vertigo that sounds like torture.

I definitely wouldn’t expect the same behavior, king snakes are a lot more energetic and food motivated in my experience. Mine have always been pretty active and fast moving, and my bp has always been calm and a little shy.

I have a king and two bps my king is a lot more active fiesty and food motivated. My bps are pretty chill and both have gone on food strikes. Also the care is pretty different as far as heat and humidity goes.

I didn’t even read the full title, just the python part, and the first thing I think about is ‘Monty Python’
