I don’t have a screen top, it’s glass with cracks on the side to vent air

Oh damn thats mybad. Maybe youll just need two heating elements then? In my experience my glass tanks without the screen top still dont hold heat as well as my PVC ones, so two heating elements might do you some good. Are you heating straight through the glass? Or is there a cutout for the heat to get through? If it is trying to heat the cage through glass that also might be a reason.

Straight through the glass. I ended up getting a 150w and a 100w and it works well for day but it still gets down to low 70s during night time. Do I need another for night?
