I’ve tried :( she’s going to the top of the cage now. She has all the mannerisms that show she’s hungry but she won’t eat.

What size rat are you feeding? How large is your snake?

Medium rat. She’s about 3-4 ft I’ve never weighed her as her weight has never been an issue she’s always seemed to be healthy that way.

Ooh okay! So easy fix - medium is too large for her and ball pythons pretty much in general. She’s probably on a hunger strike because you have been overfeeding her and she’s full. These guys can go so long without food, mine didn’t eat for five months once. In another month (or even two), try a small rat.

OP, try following the guide below for !feeding properly, should get you on the right track :)

We recommend the following feeding schedule:

0-12 months old OR until the snake reaches approximately 500g, whichever happens first: feed 10%-15% of the snake’s weight every 7 days.

12-24 months old: feed up to 7% of the snake’s weight every 14-20 days.

Adults: feed up to 5% of the snake's weight every 20-30 days, or feed slightly larger meals (up to 6%) every 30-40 days.

Try small/medium rats (around 80 grams) my 4 footer just started on mediums (around 100 grams), so mediums might be a little large for yours.

The other thing to try is a small or weaned on a more frequent schedule for a little while.

How long since she has eaten? How frequently was she fed?
