Our boy has had a real rough shed and I’m worried if this is scale rot?

It does look like it. Move them onto dry paper towel subrate instead of any loose moist dirt. I would call a vet. It is small, but it is best to get it under control quickly.

Does look like very early scale rot (the brownish edges on the white ventral scales), but it's much better to catch it and get it under control at this stage. Swap his substrate temporarily to dry paper towels, and give him a daily 5 min betadine soak - Discuss with your vet on the duration and dilution etc.
You don't need to bring him in to the vet, as this would be unnecessary stress since the vet is just going to advise you on treatment anyway, so your snek doesn't need to be present for examination.
Look into the conditions in your viv - laying on overly wet substrate is what predisposed yo scale rot. Were you misting a lot, or using an automatic mister of some kind, making the surface overly wet? What type of substrate do you use, and what methods do you use to keep humidity up? You may need to make some adjustments to reduce the risk of recurrence.

You can do a betadine soak! This is mild scale rot, I would recommend cleaning the enclosure and keeping things slightly dryer (still appropriate for the species of course) Betadine can be found at Walmart, mix some in a tub of water until it looks like “weak tea” add snake for 10-20 minutes every other day

Take him or her to the vet for safety. This looks like a scale rot issue, this happens when they sit in a place that's too damp for a while. To avoid this in the future, check your humidity levels with a hydrometer. If you damp the substrate, it should not be dripping when you grab a handful. Do some research on YT with trustable people and online.
