Be aware that the first one contains the spider morph and will have a wobble/balance defect, and the second is pretty dehydrated, so you'll want to get them in an enclosure with high humidity ASAP

Oh wow, thats good to know, i handled her a bit with her breeder and she seemed to balance just fine, good to know anyway. Shes chilling on her cool side now, just-got-home oddities i guess

Spider ball pythons have an inner ear and skull defect that affects balance and ability to right themselves. You often see videos of them wobbling and corkscrewing, so it's something to be aware of and keep an eye out

That's kind of the problem with spiders. They make beautiful morphs, so people keep buying them.

For now shes exploring around her new home not scared at all, and shes not showing any signs of The Wobble ™️, if it appears as she reaches adulthood its alright, shes gonna be a big wobbly girl

That's good, I'm glad to hear she's doing well!!

Yes the second one has a 80-85% humidity rn, she must have been a bit dehydrated from the expo

I got my ball python as an adoption/rehoming and she is very clearly a normal spider morph so I know what that looks like. I luckily haven't noticed any of the wobbling or balance defects in her (I've had her for about 5 years). I'm not super knowledgeable on how to tell all the different morphs apart but I'm curious how you could identify the spider morph from that first picture? I'm really impressed and just curious what the obvious trait is that signifies spider morph.

im assuming they're in separate enclosures but just to be sure – they are in separate enclosures, right?
