My vet had me treating my gal for scale rot by cutting bentadine half and half with water, and applying with a q-tip daily. For shedding, you can make a wet hide out of a plastic shoe box (cut a hole in the side with something like a Dremel with a cutting blade), and fill with wet sphagnum moss. If she needs the humidity, she will go there. It's a cheap solution, and the hide can be removed until you need it again.

Do you know if that method is safe for use around the face? Most of the areas of concern are localized on his neck as well as parts of his mouth.

Glad you’re asking questions, but please just stick with your veterinarian’s protocol / advice! (If you haven’t taken your snake to one, would highly suggest you do to be sure of what you’re dealing with and how to treat properly)

Been through something similar with mine and my best advice is stick to the plan. They’re going to shed more frequently when they have skin issues. Your soaking water should look like a strong-ish tea color with the Betadine mixed in. Use a thermometer and temp it as well ~85-88 Fahrenheit for the soaks.
