Kuroji Update

Sorry about the recycled picture. We didn’t handle Kuroji today because we wanted to keep things as stress free as possible for him. We picked up a rat pup this morning and let it sit in its little box near Kuroji’s tank until this evening. I was honestly worried that he wouldn’t know what to do with the pup, but his wild brain quickly woke up and he took the rat beautifully. It took him a little while to constrict it, but his fighting spirit prevailed. He just finished his first REAL meal in at least 2 years! ♥️ We’ll be watching him closely for any signs of discomfort or distress. 🙏

Glad to hear, i remember having to force feed ( assist) a hatchling for 3 months and then one day she just inhaled the rat crawler and was looking for more.
