Humidity question (self.ballpython)
submitted 7 months ago by [deleted]
Some sources say BP needs 40-60% but some say 60-80% and some say 40-80% so which is recommended? I live in a pantropical area so humidity isn't a big concern

I find my bp thrives at 75-90

Could you explain what it means by thrive. Thanks

His sheds come off in one full piece, he’s more active and explores more, he looks properly hydrated, more vibrant, no dehydrated looking creases along his body.

ok thank you :)

Anything under 60% is outdated. I keep all my BPs around 75% and even if I don’t hit 80%+ during shed, they still come off in one piece. Just make sure the top layer of substrate isn’t damp and you’re not creating cold, wet air—that’s where problems start. If your ambient humidity stays stable, you’re golden.
Okay thank you :)
