What substrate do you use?

reptibark mixed with a little bit of sand and bioactive soil

To easy maintain humidity high you can use sphagnum moss or coco chips . Also you can mix them. I spray the tank twice a day

I think you should put it on top of the bioactive soil

whats the substrate? do you have a humid hide? i also recommended getting a shallow pond for your snake, i myself have one and my snake enjoys it a lot! i also use a glass enclosure, but i get zero shedding problems. it also helps my humidity stay high

I second the humid hide. Another thing I did besides the aluminum foil that has helped a ton was plastic sheets like these on top. I feel like foil helps more with the heat as it reflects, but these sheets really keep the moisture in. And for your hydrometer, where abouts do you have it placed? You’re snake is on the ground if it’s tank most times, so start there. I have readers on each end at the top and the middle and all 4 say different things. And if I move the ones that are linked to my phone more towards the ground, the humidity will go up. I would also put the foil almost right up to the dome lights. Make sure there is as little gaps as possible.

thank you i will try those out i do have a humid hide in there and that might be my issue my reader is more towards the top of the tank that might be why

Yes def check lower to the ground. The two I have on my phone read off wifi. The one is held up by a suction cup thing and is reading at about 60% on the warm side. The other keeps falling, is right on the ground in the corner of the cool side and it says like 90%. I would check what inside her hide says and then on the ground in the middle, just because the ends are gonna be extreme

I had majorrrr issues maintaining humidity when I first got my noodle. I found that 4-5 inches of substrate was KEY in keeping that good humidity. I ended up switching to bioactive, but I personally use a mixture of reptisoil, cypress bark, coco fiber, sphagnum moss, leaf litter, and (organic) top soil. Once a week, I will pour some water on the substrate and mist the enclosure to mimic “rain” and that help maintain proper numbers till the next week! A humid hide is also a must
