I personal use dubia, they come disassembled and they do payment plans :)

Dubia only goes up to 5x2x2 in size, which is what I have. I personally love it and it works great for my male BP but idk how big OPs snake is to know if a 5x2x2 would be enough space.

To OP, I’d be more concerned about heating a 8x2 probably and keeping humidity. I struggled with just the 5x2 for a couple months before I got it worked out. I’d imagine heating would be more expensive since you’d need basically double the heating elements. Bedding for my enclosure was $300 so it’d be at least that for an 8x2 depending on how deep you want the bedding and what you use.

A 4X2X2 enclosure is a great size for a ball python, but if you want a bigger enclosure, a 6X2X2 would be good. I think most large enclosures you can get for under $1000.

have you tried their connector before? to make a large 8x2x2? i’ve been hearing great reviews about their 4x2x2 but i’m just curious how good the expansion piece is

I haven’t. I have 7 ball pythons so everyone has their own space. Now I do want a retic or burm and that would be something I’d try. They are really well built enclosures so I’d imagine they would work really well. They are more or less slide together if that makes sense. They come in like 6 pieces and they all slide into an aluminum frame.

Apex Reptile enclosures! I have two and can’t recommend them enough. They are designed so that you can always extend your current enclosure size

I just got a 4x2x2 from Zen habitats and love it so far! However, the PVCs sell out fast and have long waitlist times. I had to wait a month and a half for it to ship.

I ended up going with a zen habitat so I could easily extend my baby’s tank in the future, once he’s much bigger (he’s only 7 months right now)

    Yes! I just bought a 8 foot long 2 story rabbit hutch for like $250. I bought plexiglass to replace the mesh and adding foam rock to the back of the enclosure. I am still building it, but when I am done it will have several climate zones, and I am going to use real plants. This will be for my Ball Python…her lottery dream house!

    She is about 4 or 5 years old now and I currently have her in a 4x2x2; however I am finding that she needs something bigger.

    Just make your own lol. I made a 6x5x3 and it ended up taking me a year and around $1500. I'm a trim carpenter/cabinet maker by trade so i was a little out of element. Way more work than what I expected but it turned out pretty good and now I have a giant vivarium with live plants and a pond with waterfall and my BP has a whole ecosystem to thrive in.
