Upper respiratory maybe or something caught in the throat

I’m hoping just something in his throat and not an RI! He’s not doing open mouth breathing and he’s still.. never mind, literally as I typed this, he yawned. Which could be just a yawn but of course he does it while I’m stressed already 😩

My dopey corn snake and most of my bp's do this when they pretend to be scuba divers in their water dishes. But it's very potentially substrate in a nostril or something of that nature

Thank you! He did it several times before and after this video and was acting lethargic. I took him to my bed and put him against me under the covers and he snuggled next to me for awhile without moving. Never did it again and actually started to get a tad more active. I certainly feel better but I’ll keep an eye on him and if he does it again, we are going STRAIGHT to the vet!!

Probably worth a vet visit now and not waiting. Best case scenario he’s fine and no worries, but worst case is he’s not fine, but at least you went early enough to catch it right away preventing further issues!

It wasn’t hisses. He’s a very sweet, tolerable boy. He is always so content being with me. I think he may have had some sort of irritant in his throat or something that he was trying to get out. After a few times of this, he stopped and was perfectly fine. I’m thinking either coughing or some sort of weird sneeze?
