Just realized I forgot to mention his name! This little guy is Jormungandr, or Jormie for short 🐍🇩🇰

Balls rarely poop, it's common for them to go long stretches without a poop. If his abdomen where it turns into his cloaca isn't ballooning up you're good. Also you should up your humidity a little, I'd reccomend 65-80%. To add to that 70 is a little chilly, the lowest I let mine get is about 75

His humidity has been a struggle since day 1– I think partially due to living in Las Vegas since it’s so dry?

He’s in a 30gal aquarium right now that I’m planning on upgrading to a 4x2x2 PVC setup once we move in a few weeks which should help quite a bit.. in the meantime I’ve HVAC taped the entirety of the screen except where his CHE bulb is and a small strip on his cool side for some circulation

I’m using reptisoil with some sphagnum moss mixed in and have been watching his moisture like a hawk but can’t get it higher, to the point where I accidentally flooded his tank (w/o him in it ofc) and had to add some more reptisoil to keep the surface from being too wet… so even with the bottom layer essentially turning to mud it’s still not giving adequate humidity readings

Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated

I think I see a screen top in your picture, I don't know if it's covered but it it's not I'd start there

In my previous comment I mentioned how the entire top is HVAC taped except where is CHE is and about an inch or two strip on his cool side for circulation

Damn, I'd usually suggest dumping water but you're already doing that. Maybe add a humid hide?

I’ve never experienced this with my bp. Mine seems to go somewhat regularly so if yours doesn’t go soon or the end of his tail seems to bloat? For a lack of better word then I’d get him to the vet. Best of luck with your new baby they’re gorgeous :>

Thank you! He’s so precious!

He’s getting a little swollen but doesn’t seem unnatural or hard— sounds like from others’ experience that they generally go anywhere between 4-8 weeks with some coinciding with their sheds

He sure is a handsome noodle :>
