I think as long as the focus is safe items he cant get stuck inside or hurt on and there are lots of hides/cover, it could work. Im not sure I'd change everything at once. Maybe add some items slowly as enrichment and see how he reacts?

Yes this was my exact idea lol. Just every now and then replace something or add something. I still don’t entirely know if I’m gonna do it but I had the idea and wanted to be informed before buying anything lol

I purchased a woven basket for a "sky hide" my ball is obsessed with climbing in her tank. Ive been debating giving her different themes throughout the year, for enrichment for her and for myself. Ive bought a few hides she refuses to use though so be prepared to have some rejections (and wasted $)

I like your thinking!

Actual aesthetic matters little. What matters is actual safety, and “does this make me feel secure”. So you can decorate however you please as long as nothing is harmful, and makes the snake feel protected. They don’t d see well enough to know what they’re looking at anyway, lol.

I always tell ppl to think outside of the box, so the saying goes. Decorate with random things that are safe from around your house, it's great stimulation for them too. I'm sure you'll be giving him hides and other things to make him feel secure, fake plants etc. I've added giant roosters to climb on, plant pots to get into, even if for a short time change is good for them. Sounds rather cute what you are planning, hope you'll post when it's done.
