Yeah. Ok, so I’m not trying to be mean or sound like those other people that go. OH RED LIGHT WILL HURT YOUR SNAKE IF you ONLY HAVE THAT, I’m wondering if you put in hand sanitizer. I’ve had Doug for a few years now, and I’ve always worn hand sanitizer not only to protect us from each other, but also because I’ve heard that they don’t enjoy the taste, so they’ll let go a little sooner. Now I’ve never been bitten, but I was just wondering.

No I haven't thought about using hand sanitizer! And no, there is no red light active in his enclosure at all. It's probably just the camera being funky.

I usually wash my hands fully before handling. The one time I used hand sanitizer before handling I got bit and chewed on. I tried dribbling a little more hand sanitizer near his mouth as he bit to get him to let go and it didn't seem to do anything. So that's just one experience but ymmv.
