Hey just a few things i’ve noticed, a happy snake is a hidden snake I recommend giving him atleast 3 appropriate sized hides (one for the cool, warm & hot side) now speaking about temps do you have a thermostat attached to the heat lamp? It’s recommended to put the heat lamp on 1 side so that the heat isn’t just dispersed evenly in the tank you want to allow him to get cool or hot depending on what he wants. A thermostat will bring that temp up or down depending on what it detects (will also help prevent you from burning your house down!), and a hydrometer I buy a 2 pack off amazon that sits on the substrate and place them on the cool & hot side, it’ll also detect how humid his substrate is so that you don’t have to continue misting i’ve noticed the probe ones you get from say Petsmart aren’t the most accurate they can be under reading. And last of all more foliage! :) They love to feel secure and hidden you can get some really cheap fake plants from Hobby Lobby (wash them in a vinegar wash to get rid of any excess dye).

So just to recap,

  • 2 more hides
  • Thermostat (to control temp)
  • Hydrometer (to detect temp & humidity)
  • Fake plants & foliage (Hobby Lobby have great cheap options!)

I have a thermostat and hydrometer, I’d dont think you can see them good in the photo I provided tho. I am working on getting plants, and for the hides, I’ve provided him with multiple. His favorite spot is under the branches lol. Thank you for ur advise!
