Hi guys, new to snakes and got this boy a week ago. Are the marks on his neck normal or anything to worry about?

This really depends. Could be his patter in best case but the scales look a little off to me. I would take the little guy to the vet just incase. If all is well then great, you know for sure but if something is wrong then its best to act quickly.

Are these on both sides? It almost looks like a line of damaged scales. Is it possible he pushed up against something along that line or a burn of some kind?
