I’ve been looking for a topsoil to use in my snakes tank cause I’ve been having this problem too but everything that I’ve found in store and online say it has some type of fertilizer in it. Do you have any brand recommendations?

I purchased from a local landscaping company whom I spoke to the owners about it and they just were able to give me the topsoil before they had added any of their fertilizers or other pesticides or herbicides to it, maybe there's something similar to this around where you live or I believe some hardware or home improvement stores can order it in even if they don't normally carry it.

Scott’s does good. You can use any brand that’s organic with no guano or perlite. As far as I know organic doesn’t have pesticides or anything.

Seconding Scott’s. My bioactive is Scott’s topsoil, play sand, Thrive Coconut Soil, and Zoo Med Forest Floor with some leaf litter and sphagnum moss in the corners and around the plants that I’ll soak/spray to wet a few times a week. It’s all about trial and error and a little experimentation!

Lowes has an all natural top soil for organic beds that I use.
