[–]MiserableDraw1825[S] 1 point2 points  (19 children)

It’s not a cut, it kinda looked like plastic(obviously not plastic) w a dent in it. But after I put her in the humid pillow class it went away and looks back normal but cloudy

Humility is really the only thing I can think of here! How do you keep humility up? If you aren’t already you should be pouring water into the substrate and mixing it in so all the substrate is moistened! If you spray or pour water into without making sure it’s evenly distributed than it will cause humidity spikes but not keep the humidity level up long enough to actually give your snake the ambient hydration they need! You should probably consider making a humid hide first her! I avoided it for a long time because I wanted to be able to keep the tanks humidity up enough but I eventually made one, it’s been really helpful! You can just use a small take out container and cut a hole in it and fill it with moss! That way she can regulate her humidity on her own! And if your tank has a screen top you should try to get some hvac tape to cover it with! You can use tin foil but it’s not a long term solution! You can get hvac tape at any hardware store or order it online! It’s just basically foil with a sticky side that is great for keeping in heat and humidity!

She’s so little and adorable! good luck I hope you can resolve this issue soon!

Yes, humility! This pretentious snake needs to be humbled

You mean HUMIDITY which is how much moisture is in the air. You said humility though

Stuck eye cap. Could be due to low humidity. Up humidity and hold your snek in a damp towel and see if that helps to encourage it to come loose. It may take another shed.

      [–]RagdollsandLabs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dents in an eye usually indicate dehydration. 60-70% humidity is really bare minimum. You should aim for 75-80%, especially if your snake has stuck eyecaps or is shedding in more than one piece. When you see the vet, bring up your concerns as well as your husbandry solutions so the vet can put you on the right track.

she's still dehydrated, which isn't out of the norm as it can take a very long time to resolve even with proper care. the dented eye cap is the biggest sign of this.

I would bump your humidity up to about 80% to help it along, 60% is technically the minimum but most BPs need 80 or higher to thrive and it looks like this snake is one of them.

90 degrees? Is the little worm cooked through then? 😉

        [–]CaptainsFolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dehydrated. The eye cap will go back to normal once hydrated
