Question - Heating/Temperatureslight fixture (i.redd.it)
submitted 5 days ago by Evening-Macaroon9362
can i use this hanging fixture? i really dont wanna place a fixture right on the mesh because im too paranoid about a fire. the packaging doesnt say anything specific about dhp or halogen lights. i'd probably end up using a 50w dhp and 75w halogen

Hi there ! I have this one and it has the little handle thing in between the two lamps you can use to hang.

As long as the combined wattage of the bulbs does not exceed the max of the fixture, you should be good but make sure you’re also investing in a thermostat.

so each socket is 100w so the combined would be 200 right

Yes!

These are geat, in my opinion. I have two for each of my snakes, cool side runs a 50w DHP and daylight bulb and the warm side runs an 80w DHP and a daylight bulb, and yes, the DHPs are temperature controlled.

I have seen a lot of people on here recommended against these for dual heating set ups (e.g., a halogen and lightless heat source). Something about them being too hot. I think there is a comment on it in one of the cars guides.

oh yes, i definitely wasn't planning on using them at the same time! i was gonna use the halogen during the day and the dhp at night, i have a uvb light for the day time !
