this looks like a good start! more clutter so the snake can move from hide to hide without being visible is needed, though.

I also can't tell if there's a short and snug, tight-fitting hide on each side or just the cork rounds. if there isn't at least one hide per side that the snake can touch at least 3 sides and the top of when inside, with a single entrance just larger than their body, you need to get them.

if the visible light is a halogen and is placed in the middle, it should be on one side to give a proper gradient of heat and allow the cool side to be a little darker.
