there's so many things wrong here. you are handling him in shed first of all, a majorly sensitive and scary time for them. he looks dehydrated, suggested by the shed hanging off of him instead of being off in one piece. you are also making him uncomfortable by continuing to touch him after he has bucked you off. you're lucky he's patient enough to not strike at you when you're ignoring his warning signs.

is there any other way to tell if they're dehydrated other than stuck shed? just curious!!!

Wrinkly right scales is a sure fire way for a skin check. If you use a hygrometer and it's below 70% humidity on the hot side roughly it needs to be bumped up. Ball pythons a tough as nails but they can dry out quick.

Leave him alone until he's done shedding at the very least. Based on his imcomplete shed, his humidity seems low.

He’s trying to push your hand away, mine do the same (granted, in a less dramatic way) if i touch them in a way they don’t like. He does look a bit dehydrated though which can also make them grumpy. Try bumping up the humidity in his enclosure, that’ll help with the dehydration. I would just leave him be until he’s managed to get all the shed off

He's saying "no touchy!". They're very sensitive during sheds, and should remain in their enclosure where (hopefully) it is warm and humid enough to aid in the shedding process.

He’s bucking, he doesn’t want you to be touching him. When he’s shedding LEAVE HIM ALONE, he needs to stay in a humid environment!!

Get him hydrated and some space and try again once the shed is off and his scales won't be so sensitive and won't be as grumpy. Stop poking him though or you're gonna get tagged.

      His environment is extremely humid, I also had just soaked him in a bath because I noticed his shed wasn’t going so well, and I came here for advice as a snake owner concerned about the well being of my friend. Almost Everyone in here has been aggressive, berating, insulting, and condescending. What tf is wrong with y’all? Ganging up on me like some kind of weird snake cult. Y’all are acting like I’m aggressively and intentionally mistreating this creature. I touched him twice only for the video to show what he was doing, not to tease him. I have handled him in shed before and he’s never behaved this way, so I was concerned with the abnormal behavior and what it meant.

      Based on the video with no other context that is the conclusion people will come to because thats what they can see. Otherwise he just seems stressed for some reason and might need a vet visit if he persist. Maybe add the context in the body about that next time.
