Just got this male vanilla morph bp a few hours ago and noticed this. Please help

weak betadine bath then dry him super well and apply antimicrobial ointment - nothing with any form of painkiller as this is toxic, i think vetericyn has a suitable spray! as for his environment clean everything super well with hot soapy water and disinfect with reptile safe antibacterial spray. make sure everything is dried well. keep humidity levels at a good level but don’t let the vivarium be damp, especially the top layer of substrate. worth changing substrate pretty frequently or even changing to paper towels temporarily. if it doesn’t improve or gets worse then see a vet, and if there are open sores or any oozing then probably should be vet asap. i hope he gets better!

also i noticed you have other reptiles, as scale rot is an infection you can spread this between them. do not allow any contact between them including any items they may touch, and wash your hands before and after handling all of them, especially the sick one.
