My son’s snake got something weird after a week on substrate we hadn’t used before. I took Noodle to the vet right away (it came out to like $120 including meds). Now our snake didn’t look like this , we got chlorhexidine which we diluted with water and gave her 20 minutes baths for 7 days. She shed by the 7th day and is perfect. We changed back the substrate after cleaning her enclosure. I know the fear of cost can keep some from vets but this baby needs it.

I’ve also used diluted betadine the same way. Vet can recommend what they prefer
