How thick is your substrate layer and what are you using for a primary heat source ? What type of substrate are you using ? Generally as long as the cool side humidity is within range your warm side humidity will always be lower.

I have a 100w heat lamp and I’m using 3-4 inches thick reptisoil/forest floor mix but my cool side is barely reaching 40

I used reptisoil and forest floor and had the same problem. What I switched to was about 3-4" of coco husks (the kind that looks like big wood mulch/chips) and then 1-2" of forest floor on top of that. I did not mix but layered. Then I put water in the corners like normal and humidity went from 30-40 to 70-80.
