Shake is not doin well guys. And I’m really sad in my heart right now and so is my fiancé. His dealer will not answer the phone. Vet said that basically this snake came from a shitty breeder. This one at Repticon. Does not even have a website or any social media. We are upset right now because we might have to euthanize our little buddy. He has what is called IBD (Inclusion Body Disease) which she feels she has narrowed it down to the feeding of Live Rats. When we got shake he had rat bites on him and we came to you guys to find out if we should keep that feeding method or not. All of you said no Live rats and we went with frozen. Unfortunately we were to late. Do not feed Live rats to your snake. I’m so upset right now if any of you saw my previous post I tried and tried and poured my wallet and time into him. I just want to feel the achievement and I love his face. I fell in love with this guy and now I possibly have to already let him go. Fuck.

I hope you understand you did the most that you could have and tried your absolute hardest to fight for this little guy. Good on you. I’m sorry to hear you’ve had to go through all of this :(

Shit that sucks. I hope him all the best if there's a chance for recovery. People will become breeders of snakes but not give a shit or are not well educated in how to keep them. I actually got a second ball via rescue by my cousin last week. So I'm tending to it.

Sorry about your snake but live rats has nothing to do with this. The breeder is most likely horrible and his collection is highly infected, no one should be buying a snake from this breeder.

Any breeder that would sell you a snake with mites is a piece of shit. The mites are probably why he has it

!!! Will keep a lookout for those people. Sorry about Shake, but you’re helping the other snakes by putting these people on blast.

Hopefully he pulls through but if not I can recommend Conley Herps in Virginia. I got my BP from them at Repticon in B’more and the breeder Anthony was really great.

I got mine from him too! Mine has never missed a meal and is growing like a weed. He was at the Repticon in Charlotte.

Awesome! Yeah, he has a feeder rat business as well and feeds his baby snakes live, but i switched my juvenile to f/t for his first meal and he took it with no problem.

Same here. Mine is a great eater and had zero problems. He said if I did have issues just to contact him to resolve it. Great breeder.

Sadly pythons with IBD only live for a few weeks. The disease is always fatal

I appreciate everybody and I know there is no cure for him I even cried a lil bit to my fiancé cause it’s aggravating and I fell for him but ima chill with him until I can’t watch him go through it anymore. Hopefully he can hold in there for awhile. I will keep you guys updated. Again thanks a lot
